As per above, the 2nd Boards Blades Battle will take place on the 25 October 2009. The competition will start by 10.30 am.

Registration forms can be collected from Lust SkateStore, Uneek Skateshop, Maly (I Love KB Crew) and/or myself (surkrew@gmail.com). Registration forms, along with a registration fee of $5.00, must be submitted latest by 10.30 am on the competition day (25/10/09).

A short briefing on the competition format will be held prior to the start of the competition. For more information, contact Bahrom (Lust SS) and Chom (Uneek Skateshop).

Just for your information, the organisers (Uneek Skateshop and Lust SS) are in the process of building/making extra obstacles to be used for the competition.

Digital / Video / Skate Battle

As per posted in Bala's blog, they are organizing a skate edit battle.

Format is as follow:
1. Submit a 3 - 5 minutes video edit showcasing yourself and your crew. Not a single person profile, but group effort.
2. Edits will not only be judged based on tricks but also on the whole cinematography as well as the editing.
3. Submission can be done via online or sending the organizers hi-res copy.
4. Closing date for submission is END OF JULY.
5. Winners will be announced at a later date.
6. Cash prize!!!!

So what are you guys waiting for? Get your crew together and start taking video and editing. There's still about 3 months til the closing date. *If anyone wants to hire me for their video/edit, do not hesitate to contact me :D* I believe RPS Team is currently working on something for this battle edit. I might be posting my own video, if I'm eligible to enter *depending on the organizer's response*.

A joint skateboarding and rollerblading competition to be held on the 23rd November 2008 at Lagoon Skatepark, KB. It's open to all skateboarders and rollerbladers, and what's more, it's FREE registration! All you have to do is come down to the skatepark by 12noon on the Sunday, and register yourself there and then.

It will be a jam format session, where the competitors will be divided into groups and selected competitors will advance to the next round. A briefing will be held prior to the start of the competition (after registration), so make sure you're there! FYI: Chom of Uneek skateshop will brief and handle the skateboarding competition while Bahrom of RPS will handle the rollerblading competition.

So come and join the fun! Mark your calendar and be there! Even if you're not participating, or don't rollerblade or skateboard, just be sure to be there as there will be FREE PRODUCT TOSS at the end of the event! So you're sure to get something from the event! Spread the words like germ and get everyone there!!

Refer to the flyer. This will be held on the 26th and 27th July 2008. As you may notice, this competition is for skateboard only. On Saturday, the competition is for KB open whereas on the Sunday, it is the main event, i.e. the Brunei Open. I've been told by Chom of Uneek Skateshop that there will be a rollerblading demo on Sunday, after the competition is over before the prize presentation! I am yet to know who's gona be there for the demo. I will update as and when.

This competition is organised by Kementerian Belia dan Sukan, Cawangan KB, sponsored by Uneek Skateshop and Wardrobes Inc.

Wardrobes Inc will be setting up a booth during the two day event. SURKREW tshirt will be available for sale during the weekend! So get your shirts at $17.90 only!!

27 August 2007 "Stunts4Swags 4"

 

 

The infamous Stunts4Swags (S4S) will hit its 4th series this year. Here are the details:

Date/Time: Sunday, 21st October 2007 at 12 noon.
Venue:   Bukit Jalil Recreational Park (across the road from the Bukit Jalil Sports complex and Bukit Jalil LRT Station)

Who will conquer the S4S 4? Could it be the 3rd win for the 2 times defending champion (S4S 2 and S4S 3), Malaysia's own Wheel_Lover / rider, Nik Suhaili? Or will Eyan (S4S 1 champion), i.e. myself , be able to go and join the competition? Or will we see someone else step up their game and grab the Swags? Only time will tell. Come and support the S4S 4.

If you can, just go there on the said date! Even if you don't join the S4S, it'll be great just to be there and support the guys! As you can see from the pictures, it's one fine spot to skate and lots of different things that you can skate there!
